Parallel Satellites

Pastness, presentness and futurity seem to be real features of the world, but are they really? And what happens when all three are perceptible at the same time?

The initial idea of this film was to collect impressions of the place I grew up to show it to people that stand close to me.

In the process a lethargic state of mind living within my surroundings was revealed to me which led to a dispute between me and the outside world. Where time and space felt relative and absolute at the same time.

I selected motives of water, processes of drying, machines, barely moving subjects and humans trying to get a grasp of what is happening around them through conversation. Some events seem to be present, while others are future or past – maybe somewhere in between because they are correlating.
Parallel satellites exemplifies how past human decisions affect the present and the people living in it.
